Analysis, expertise and valorisation at CRET-LOG
A University Research Laboratory in Management Science

From academic research to the valorisation of research, from major national and European programmes to audits in companies, CRET-LOG plans the projects to produce and exchange know-how.

Applied research and consultancy contracts on behalf of international organisations, governmental ministries, local councils, chambers of commerce and industry and, increasingly on behalf of companies, are carried out by the laboratory – teacher-researchers – researchers – consultants – or through JONCTION, a consultancy service in collaboration with CRET-LOG.

« Applied research » is becoming more common, especially following the re-introduction of PREDIT 3 which is a programme for the Research, Development and Innovation of Ground Transportation. This ministerial programme was created in 1996 with the support of ADEME - Agence de l’Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l’Energie (Agency for the Environment and Energy Management) and ANVAR, and aims to develop cooperation between public and private sectors around themes or associated projects.

Placed under the scientific responsibility of the laboratory’s teacher-researchers, the PREDIT research contracts, as well as the ADEME grants provide doctorate candidates with the possibility of thesis financing. CRET-LOG contribution concerns the theme « Logistics, transport and the environment ».

Furthermore, since 2004, Université de la Méditerranée’s research laboratories have benefited from a research valorisation structure called PROTISVALOR Méditerranée which is designed to facilitate the drawing up, administration and valorisation of contracts, research agreements and services carried out in the private sector or with institutional organisations.

CRET-LOG’s participation in these various structures, together with the desire to accompany the doctorate candidates in their « research through research  » training to the « elaboration of the project  » helps to develop the audit contract activity.
